Free-draw & layers
Beyond item-to-item arrows, you can draw lines directly on the canvas and control the stacking order of everything on the board.
Free-draw
- Switch on DRAW mode from the toolbar.
- Drag on the canvas to draw a line.
- The line becomes a free connector — it isn't tied to any item, so it stays where you drew it.
Free-draw is great for circling a cluster, underlining, or sketching a relationship that isn't a clean item-to-item arrow.
Layers (front / back)
Every item and connector has a place in the stacking order — what's drawn on top of what.
- Send a connector in front of or behind items with the LINE FRONT / BACK toggle.
- Bring items forward or send them back to get overlaps looking right.
Lines behind, labels on top
A common setup: keep connector lines behind your images so arrows don't cover artwork, and keep text labels on top so they're always readable.
