Licensing overview

Morgue unlocks with a license key that you activate on your devices. Here's the model at a glance.

License keys​

  • Your key looks like a UUID: xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx.
  • You enter it once on a device to activate — see Activating your license.
  • Find your key in your purchase email or account dashboard.

Plans​

Your key belongs to a plan (for example, Freelancer or Studio). The plan name is shown under Settings → License once you've activated.

Activation limits​

Each plan allows a set number of devices (seats). When you activate, the current device takes a seat.

  • Hit the limit and Morgue tells you the maximum, and points you to manage your devices.
  • Free a seat by deactivating a machine you no longer use.

Working offline​

After activation, Morgue keeps working offline within a grace window and re-validates quietly when you're back online — see Working offline.
